Weiss Runs for
Austin City Council -  Place 3
“The citizens of Austin don’t want or need another politician
to run Austin. What they need is someone with great business
sense and the proven leadership skills that I have shown”.

Thanks Austin! I wanted to say thanks to all those people that
have supported my campaign for the last six months. Early voting
begins Monday 28th and runs through Tuesday May 6th. Then
Election Day is on May 10th.
I just wanted to say that I believe that I’m the best person for
City Council Place 3 and here are just a few reasons why.
I have gained valuable leadership and team building skills while
serving my community as an officer in the Texas Army National
Guard. I was cast into some very tough duty assignments which I
was recognized and awarded for, including natural disaster relief
efforts as well as military accomplishments. I worked very hard
and not only earned the respect of the soldiers I lead, but also my
peers and superiors.
Second, I have had the pleasure of operating two family
businesses right here in Austin for over 20 years! I have the
necessary business skills in budgeting and accounting to help
eliminate wasteful spending in the city budget. The city just
purchased 21 new trucks for $2.5 million, that’s a cost of over
$120,000 each! These same trucks sell on the open market for a
mere $65,000. We could have saved the tax payer’s about $1.1
million on just this one purchase. With a projected budget deficit of
$20 to $40 million, wouldn’t you want someone in City Hall to look
after your hard earned tax dollars like they were his very own?
That’s just what I will do.
Finally, I will do what is right for the city of Austin. I have lived
here well over 38 years! That’s more than both of my competitors
combined! I know Austin; I have lived here my entire life. I will listen
to the citizens and try to solve their problems. I will stand up for
neighborhoods and help them fight for what they want in their
neighborhoods and not what the city, developers, or big business
want.
What I bring to city hall is common sense. I don’t have any
alliances with big businesses, developers, toll-road lobbyist, or
special interest groups. I come to city hall completely neutral and
will be able to make decisions that are right for Austin. Don’t waste
this prime opportunity, vote for me on May 10th.
We don’t need another 3 years of Jennifer Kim’s politics.

  Thanks again for your support.
